Eddie Carter

Eddie Gene Carter, 59 of Graham went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 6, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late Robert Wilford and Quincy Ann Moore Carter. Eddie was married for 41 years to Debby Durham Carter who survives. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River and was a former truck driver for Southern Pride Car Wash Systems. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters, Sandra Loy of Graham, and Pamela Sonhthila of Burlington; six grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Loy, Bobby, John, Rebecka and Jadyn Sonhthila; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Frank Flinchum of Burlington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Dru Carter of Rockledge, FL, Ernest Carter of Burlington, Roger and Priscilla Carter of Graham, Danny and Kris Carter of Waldorf, MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Willard and brothers, David and R.W. "Bub" Carter. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones with entombment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 9:45 - 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
