Edgar "Eddie" Stafford

Burlington – Edgar Jerome “Eddie” Stafford, Jr., 66, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.  He was born in Martinsville, VA on February 27, 1954 to the late Edgar J. Stafford, Sr. and Garnett H. Stafford who survives and was the husband of 41 years to Doralene R. Stafford of the home.

Eddie worked as an Engineering Associate for General Electric where he loved working and retired after 41 years of service. He enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes, loved his pets and he and Doralene spent much of their time at their White Lake home.

Survivors other than his wife and mother include sisters, Jo Lovell, Penny Nolen (Rocky), Teresa Bray (Mike) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Eddie’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Darrell Massey with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at his home.
