Edwin Young

Dewaine "Ed" Young, age 76, of 912 N. Graham-Hopedale Rd. passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Edwin Myron and Rose McGhee Young and husband of the late Glenna Jean Hill Young. He was a retired supervisor with Burlington Industries working at both the Pioneer Plant and Williamsburg Plant. He attended Harvest Hill Church and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors include his sons, Michael D. Young of Graham and Randy Todd of Burlington; step son Micheal Rex Sheets and partner Richard Farthing of Burlington; step daughter, Pamela Mia Craddock and husband Tim of Gibsonville; step grandchildren, Nickolas Dewaine Todd, Christopher Griswold, Paytin Chrisco and Glenna Ashley; brothers, Compton S. Young and wife Becky of Burlington and Douglas M. Young and wife Jean of Johnson City, TN. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, June 12, 1013 at Alamance Memorial Park by Dr. Russell Morris. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory on Tuesday evening from 6-8pm.
