Elizabeth Scott

Burlington, NC Elizabeth Jackson Scott, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Durham County and the wife of the late Henry Scott. Elizabeth retired from Burlington Industries after 27 years and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Donna Scott of Burlington; grandchildren, Tonya Hamlett , Sandi Thompson and her husband, Chris all of Burlington; great grandchildren, Nicholas Thompson, Christopher Thompson, London Shane Hamlett and Grant Thompson; nieces, Kathy Holland and Patty Justice both of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Vernon and Nannie Jones Jackson; sisters, Ann Agular, Lillian Johnson and Jane Baldwin; brothers, Bill and Joe Jackson. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Larry Redding. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the graveside service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
