Ella Ruth Agnew Montgomery

Burlington– Ella Ruth Agnew Montgomery, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Agnew Sr. and Ruth Davis Agnew and was married for over 68 years to Billy Burton Montgomery, who survives.    

Ella retired from Western Electric after 36 years, where she worked on the line as a wireman.  She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.  She enjoyed working outside in her yard, especially tending to her flower garden, sewing, cooking and decorating but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
