Mrs. Eloise Daves Benton, age 94, of Morningside Dr. passed away peacefully Monday, December 17, 2012 at Peak Resources of Alamance. A native of Cabbarus County, she was the wife of the late J.W. Benton and daughter of the late Broadus Bradshaw and Lola Tate Daves. She was a founding member of Northside Presbyterian Church and a lifelong homemaker. Survivors include her son, Bennie Jay Benton of Burlington and a sister, Johnnie Mantz of Dallas, Ga. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; son Jerry Wayne Benton and 9 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Mitchell. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Benton will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1:45pm Thursday, prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the home of Bennie Benton; 1537 Shadylawn Dr. Burlington, NC. The family would like to thank the angels at Edgewood Place, Peak Resources of Alamance and Hospice for the special care given Mrs. Benton.
