Emily Wilborn Gray

Emily Wilborn Gray, age 76, of Burlington, stepped into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the hospice home surrounded by her family. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Otto Wilborn and Esther Weaver Wilborn and was married for over 56 years to the late Bobby Ray Gray.
She retired as a Bank Teller and was a lifetime member of New Hope Baptist Church. Emily was a member of the Ladies Bible Class and enjoyed working with flowers. She was a loving mother and Nana.
Emily is survived by her three children, Sarah Gray Condrey of Helen, GA, Garry Gray of Burlington and Tina Gray Carr (Jeffrey) of Burlington; six grandchildren, Tarah, William, Chandler, Makennah, Noah and Davis; three great grandchildren, Andrew, Emily and Esther and her canine companion, “Charity” and bird “Jake”.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Hobbs. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
