Enrique Antonio Costoso, 85, of Burlington, passed away on September 25, 2026, at Hospice Home of Alamance after several weeks of failing health.

      Born on July 23, 1941, in Puerto Rico, Enrique was a proud Puerto Rican whose love for his heritage remained an important part of his life. He was a longtime jewelry faceter and took pride in his work over the years. Outside of work, he enjoyed smoking cigars and having an occasional beer. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, who were at the center of his life.

     Enrique will be remembered with love by his wife, Carmen Calderon Costoso, and by his daughters, Janette Costoso and Yolanda Costoso. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jessica Pena, Kevin Arroyo, Jeremy Mejia, Jennifer Mejia, and Leslie Costoso, as well as his great-grandchildren, Amiyah, Payton, Eelana, Nasir, and Jeremy Jr. He shared a special bond with his family, and his memory will continue to live on in their hearts.  He was preceded in death by his father, Emilio Costoso; his mother, Justina Otero Costoso; and his son, Errol Costoso.

     Enrique will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

     A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
