Burlington

Eric Wayne Peterson, 47, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 18, 1979, in Hampshire County, MA.

Despite life’s challenges, Eric brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He was an avid fan of video games and could be found enjoying them for hours on end. He could and would, proudly fact check you on WWE matches or sports statistics. Eric seldom met a stranger and everyone became his ‘friend’.

He leaves behind his brother, Anthony “Tony” Kukielka and his wife Brandy; his niece, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick and her husband Trey; his nephew, Anthony “Cole” Kukielka; his great niece, Kennedy Kirkpatrick; his dear aunt, Elaine Wagner, and several cousins who all hold cherished memories of Eric's joyful presence. Also sharing in this deep loss is his devoted   caregiver, Terrie Foust, and his friends at United Living Group Home, who provided comfort and companionship through the years.

Eric has now been reunited with his loved ones that have preceded him in death, his father, Norris Peterson; his mother, Barbara Anne Lloyd Gnatek; and his sister, Barbara Anne Kukielka.

A private graveside service to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Reid Dickens. Eric’s journey may have ended, but the imprint of his playful soul and the warmth of his spirit remain deeply etched in the hearts of all who loved him.
