Etta Christine Smith Eastwood, age 79 went home to Glory on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home.

Born in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Monroe and Nancy Malloy Oliver Smith and was married to the late Tony Willard Eastwood, who passed in 2013.  She retired from Copland Fabrics after 37 years and continued working with Home Instead as a caregiver. She attended New Hope Baptist Church. Christine was a faithful wife, loving mother and caring grandmother and will be missed greatly by her friends and family, who she loved more than sugar, ice cream and honey.

Mrs. Eastwood is survived by her daughters: Teresa Ann Moser and Lisa Louise Howell (Sam) both of Burlington; grandchildren: John Willard Horner, Christina Vasquez (Eusorio), Amber Marie Myatt and Robin Gaddy (Edward); multiple great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Miller

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 30, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Randy Hobbs.  Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 – 10:45 AM Monday prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
