Etta "Betty" Brewer

Burlington-Etta “Betty” Owen Brewer, 91 passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Hospice home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Douglas Clarence Brewer and the daughter of the late Jason Arnold and Josephine Ellen Hall Owen.

Betty retired from Fairfax County Schools as a bus driver. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters, Pattie McCall and husband, Michael of Summerville, SC and Chris Newbold and husband, Brad of Burlington; grandchildren, Dawn (David) Lawson, Doug McCall, Allyson Newbold and Erica (Shannon) Brady; great grandchildren, Carson Lawson, Tanner Lawson, Chloe Brady, Grayson Brady, Colby McCall and William Newbold.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 12 Noon at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Rev. Briant Cullinane, OFM Conv. The family will receive friends from 4-6pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be an interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Alexandria, Virgina later in the week.
