Burlington – Eugenia Ann Dickerson Ward, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Franklin County on February 24, 1945 to the late Early Green and Minnie Rose Baker Dickerson.
Ann was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts and reality TV shows.
She was a loving and caring mother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Rose Bower of Raleigh; sons, Lee Woods (Cindy) of Newport News, VA, Tony Melody (Melissa) of Eastern Shore, VA; grandchildren, Jayson Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Cody Bower (Kirsten), Ciara Woods, Dawson Melody, Shane Melody, Lauren Lewis; great grandchildren, Dylan, Kennedy, Nick and Xadiel Jackson, Karis and Axton Taylor; brother, Ronnie Dickerson (Martha); sisters, Jenny Dickerson (Wayne), Nellie Barrera (Romeo), Carolyn Webster, Willie Greer and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Woody Woods, parents and a sister, Mary Evans.
A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. William Baker. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
