Faydean Shoe

Mary Faydean Baize Shoe, 90, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the hospice home surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 28, 1930 in Alamance County to the late Olga Marvin Baize and Lillian Estelle Rippy Baize, and was married for sixty-six years to the late John “J.W.”  William Shoe, Jr. who died in February 2015.

Faydean with the help of her son, Chris and her late husband, J.W. was the owner and operator of the Shillelagh Golf Club for forty years.

She is survived by her son, Christopher “Chris” Lynn Shoe; a sister, Pricilla Lane Crumpton; a brother, Charles Edward Baize; and several nieces and nephews.

Faydean was preceded in death by her husband, John “J.W.” Shoe, Jr.; parents, Olga and Lillian Baize; a son, John William Shoe III; a sister, Shirley Ann Wheeley; brothers, Jackie Lee Baize, Jimmy Harrison Baize and three infant brothers.

The celebration service was private on Friday, January 5, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
