Florence “Dolly” Livengood Honeycutt, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was born in Rowan County on June 22, 1932 to the late John Clarence Livengood and Turnie bell Copley Livengood.
Dolly spent her career in textiles, retiring from Isley Knitting Mill. She was a faithful member of Holly Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed trips to the beach and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, James B. Honeycutt, Jr. and her daughter, Tammie Honeycutt Levron; grandchildren, Stacy May and husband, Wes, Brayden Bryson Sharpe, Sheldon Sharpe, Kendra Sharpe, Jodi Pagonis, Jeffrey Black, Angelia Miller, Darling Rios and husband, Ramond; great grandchildren, Brayden May, Victoria Pagonis and Raymond Rios; her sisters, Becky Yost and husband, Donnie and Linda Rainey; sister-in-law, Elaine Livengood and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 60 years, James B. Honeycutt, Sr. who died in 2003 and her second husband of 7 years, Jack Burrell who died in 2015; her parents and her daughter, Janice Honeycutt Sharpe; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Honeycutt and her siblings, Sallie Schenk, Pete Livengood and Betty Lippard.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Holly Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:45-11:45Am prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of her son, James B. Honeycutt, Jr.
