Flossie Metzler

Mrs. Flossie Faye Vickers Metzler, age 82, of Burlington, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Chisenhall and the late Ethel Crabtree Chisenhall and was married to the late Ralph Metzler, who died in 1995. She was a retired employee of the City of Durham and was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. Mrs. Metzler is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Martin and her husband, Victor, of Burlington and Donna Belledin of Denver, CO; two sons, Donald Metzler and his wife, Linda, of LaVeen, AZ and Michael Metzler and his wife, Nancy, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. The family will be conducting a private memorial service at a later date.
