Frances Denny Willets

Frances Jean Denny Willets, 88, of Elon went home to be with her Lord on July 29, 2023.    She was born in Caswell County to the late George Clyde and Betty Denny and was the wife of the late Laurie Gene Willets, Sr.

Frances was devoted to her family and faith community.  She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.  She cherished time with her family and loved her family get togethers where she cooked and baked a feast for them. 

She is survived by her sons, Gene Willets and wife Cynthia of Elon, Michael Willets and wife Kelli of Gibsonville, Danny Willets of Burlington; daughter, Tammy Gerringer and husband Andy of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Josh, Lauren, Amber, Adam (Lauren), Matthew, Megan (Tyler), John, Drew, David (Kaitlyn), Noah (Haley); and great grandson, Hilton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Mary Denny, and brothers, Earl, Herman and Carl Denny.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Marc Sanders.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-1:45 at the funeral home and other times at the home of her son, Gene.  The graveside service will be private.
