Mrs. Nellie Frances Warren Wilson, at the age of 100, earned her angel wings peacefully in the home of her daughter on June 24 th , 2024. She was a native of Caswell County, although spending majority of her life in Burlington, NC. Mrs. Frances was born March 23 rd of 1924, the third of twelve children, born into the union of Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Warren, both deceased. On December 18th of 1948, Frances married Mr. Henry Clay Wilson, also deceased.
Mrs. Frances was a tenacious, hard-working woman and a superlative cook – her pound cakes, pinto beans, and corn were the favorites of her loved ones. She enjoyed making things with her hands, cultivating her into an exceptional seamstress. Her desire to create inspired her to spend many hours quilting, crocheting, and knitting. Most of the time you would find her tending to her garden and working in her yard, a task she was blessed to do well into her nineties. But above all else, she loved God and her family. Time and time again she put their needs above hers, whether it was caring for them, raising them, or teaching them a lesson, she did it all with grace and love.
Mrs. Frances is survived by one daughter, Berta Page (Wayne) of Reidsville, NC; three grandchildren, Amy Pope (Kevin), of Nebo, NC, Bryan Boggs (Carly A.), of Burlington, NC, and Jason Boggs (April) of Graham, NC; eleven great-grandchildren, Carmen Long (Josh), Tyler Pope (Kendra), Cody Rice, Cayla Rice (Marcus D.), Stacey Cantrell, Martina Bryner (Brandon), Hunter Boggs, Jonathan Boggs, Noah Boggs, Braxton Boggs, and Abby Carver; along with five great-great grandchildren, Brantley Bryner, Cohen Long, Raelynn Bryner, Nash Long, Shiloh Long, and one on the way, Walker Pope. Frances is survived by one sister, Velma Cates, of Burlington, NC and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved each one in their own special way. She was predeceased by six brothers, Clyde Warren, Thomas Warren, Robert Warren, Otis Warren, Odis Warren, and Bill Warren and four sisters, Lillie Mae Birch, Elizabeth Dunn, Annie Pulliam, and Edna Christopher.
