Garland Ellis

Garland Winfred Ellis, 73, of Alamance passed away Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Hospice Home. He was the son of the late Hubert Walter and Daisy Jones Ellis. Garland was a native of Chatham County and loved to fish and have fun. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his daughters Donna Ellis of Gibsonville, Tracy Ray and her husband Carl of Gibsonville, Sandra Jordan of Florida, a son Bobby W. Ellis of Bowden, GA, a brother Ed. L. Ellis of Goldston, sisters Lizzie Murray of Elon, Mozelle Bright of Bonlee, NC, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Viola Murray and a great granddaughter. There will be a graveside service 11:00 AM Thursday at Alamance Memorial Park.
