Geraldine Greeson Swain

Geraldine Norton Greeson Swain, 73, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.  She was born in Alamance County to the late Sam Andrew and Margaret Elizabeth Stutts Norton.  She was the wife of the late Roger Alton Swain.

Geraldine retired from The Oakes of Burlington where she enjoyed helping older people. She was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church.  Geraldine spent many happy hours working in her yard and enjoyed Shag dancing. She loved her family and her canine companions “Baby Girl” and “Peebles”.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Wendy Lee Greeson and Jonathan Scott Edwards of Burlington; her son, Lee Greeson, Jr. and wife, Isabell of Burlington; 7 grandchildren,  Magan Wheeley, Jamie Lee Wheeley, David (Madison) Greeson, Cody (Lindsay) Greeson, Talon Greeson, Dalton Greeson and Isley Greeson and six great grandchildren; her brothers, Sam Arnold Norton and wife, Ann of Swepsonville and Ronald Lee Norton and wife, Vicky of Graham.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, David Eugene Norton.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Alamance Memorial Park  by Pastor Darrell Massey.
