Geraldine Terrell passed away on Saturday, April 4th at Brookdale Assisted Living in Burlington NC. She was born in Alamance County to John Wallace Faucette and Laura Thompson

Faucette on June 16th, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Darrell Donnell Terrell.

Mrs Terrell was a long time member of the former Brookwood Baptist Church where she served faithfully. Even though she had no children of her own she enjoyed years of teaching children in Sunday School. For the last years of her life she worshiped at Long’s Chapel Christian Church.

Gerrie was an avid gardener spending most of her time in her yard. She loved music and singing. She was a member of the Joyful Hearts Choir as well as the Long’s Chapel Choir.

She and her husband enjoyed pulling for their favorite race car drivers. She was a diehard TarHeel fan and was able to cheer for the Heels at her first basketball game at the Dean Smith Center just prior to entering Assisted Living.

There will be a private burial of Geraldine and her husband as they are laid to rest together at Longs Chapel Cemetery. Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, April 16th at 11:00 in the fellowship hall at Longs Chapel Church. Please enter at the rear of the church.
