Glenda Jean Winfree Wages

Glenda Jean Winfree Wages, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024 at her son’s home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 11, 1941 in Stanly, NC to the late Robert Basil Winfree and Alta Rae Tucker Winfree, and was the wife of 34 years to the late Joseph Elvis Wages who died in August 2023.

 Glenda retired from Glen Raven Mills. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, where in times past she was active and involved in several committees, the Women’s Circle and a former choir member to name a few. Glenda enjoyed working in her flower gardens, cooking for her family and friends, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

 She is survived by her children, Chuck Isenhour and wife Marie, Joann Tinsley and husband Trey, Jessica Wages and husband Ryan; grandchildren, Camron Falls, Brianna Jimenez, Desmond Lofton and Alexandria Lofton; a great grandchild, Eleyna Jimenez; a sister, Barbara Floyd; brothers, Mike Winfree and wife June, Bob Winfree and wife Vickie; her sisters-in-law, Dianne Winfree and Gail Hillen; a brother-in-law, Ray Wages; and several nieces and nephews. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald Winfree, Donald Winfree and wife Carolyn; and a brother-in-law, David Floyd.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Glenda will be held at 11:00am Saturday, April 27, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville by Rev. J.D. Weed. The family will receive friends following the service.
