IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glenda Weaver
Sharpe
January 2, 1951 – February 26, 2026
Mrs. Glenda Weaver Sharpe, 75, of Snow Camp passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved husband and children on February 26, 2026, after a 9-year cancer battle. Glenda was born on January 2, 1951, in Guilford County to William A. Weaver and Mary Slaughter Weaver.
Glenda worked in banking for 25+ years, mainly with Central Carolina Bank (CCB). Glenda and David were always ready for an adventure, weather it was to Alaska, out West, Niagara Falls, to the beach (which was her favorite), or overseas. She also loved having her hands in dirt planting flowers or pulling weeds. She found beauty outdoors.
Her grandchildren were an important part of her life, and she took genuine interest in the things they enjoyed. Known to them as Gigi, she was always ready to show up and cheer them on. She appreciated time spent outdoors—whether camping, fishing, or exploring—and she enjoyed shopping and long conversations with friends. She also had a lighthearted side and never hesitated to join in on a friendly prank. She valued the people in her life and was grateful for the family and friends who surrounded her.
Glenda is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, David W. Sharpe; children, Tonya Sharpe (Eric Gonzalez), Kristy Sharpe (Micah Wilkerson), and Jason Sharpe (Suzanne); grandchildren, Lofton Gonzalez, Sawyer Sharpe, Wyatt Wilkerson, Georgia Wilkerson, Sarah Gonzalez, and Charlie Gonzalez; sisters, Shirley K. Wheeley and Ruby G. Heigis; and brother, Jessie M. Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, William D. Weaver and Roy W. Weaver.
A private family service will be held.
