Grady Gerner

Mr. Grady Ervin Gerner, age 98, formerly of Whitsett, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Alamance Health Care after several months of failing health.

A native of Guilford County, he retired from Cone Mills White Oak Plant with over 30 years of service and was a longtime member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ

Grady is survived by his niece, Donnie Levens Cheek and husband, Richard; his nephew, Dellard H. Levens and wife, Peggy; along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Gerner May; a sister, Edna Gerner Levens; and a great nephew, Jerry C. Boyd

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 Friday July 2, 2021 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ by Rev. Kristen Gerner-Vaughn. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
