“Cricket” led a remarkable life defined by commitment to his family, his career, and his community. He was the beloved husband for 58 years to Ann Miles Harvey, who survives him. For 48 years, Harold dedicated himself to a distinguished career at Cummings-Atlantic Inc., where he eventually retired, leaving behind a reputation of reliability and professionalism that marked him as an esteemed colleague and mentor.

A man with lifelong passions, “Cricket” was deeply involved with SCCA Racing for over 50 years and considered VIR (Virginia International Raceway) his home track. His love for motorsports was matched by his devotion to his family, as he took great joy in attending his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s soccer games and he coached at Elon Sports Club. His commitment to loved ones was apparent in the time he spent fishing and enjoying the peacefulness of the beach, making lasting memories with family and friends.

“Cricket’s” dedication extended into his faith community as a member of St. Mark's Church, where he also served as a Deacon and a coach for St. Mark’s Baseball. His contributions to his congregation were valued, and his steadfastness in faith was a source of inspiration to many.
