Harry Ziegler, Sr.

Harry Ronald Ziegler, Sr. of Elon passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at Moses Cone Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1937 in Reading, PA to the late Clarence and Kathryn Ziegler. Mr. Ziegler retired as a machinist and was of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his wife, Marie Hamaker Ziegler of the home; sons, Christopher M. Ziegler and his wife Sharon of Greensboro, NC; Harry Ronald Ron Ziegler, Jr. and his wife Estela of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter, Kathy Ann Bletz and husband Kevin of Lock Haven, PA; four grandchildren, Donald A. Schmoyer, Corey Schmoyer, Evan Bletz, and Megan OConner; two great grandchildren, Caden Schmoyer and Christian Schmoyer; brothers, William Ziegler and Albert Ziegler both of Pennsylvania. Two sisters, Mary Ann Diem and Doris Schaeffer; and a brother, Clarence Sonny Ziegler, preceded him in death. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Bean Funeral Home and Crematory in Sinking Spring with Father Robert F. Burger officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
