Helen Sharpe Sherion

March 5, 1940 — November 2, 2023

Helen Sharpe Sherion, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her residence. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late James Worth and Virgie May Sharpe Griggs.  She was the wife of 67 years to Eugene “Gene” Wiley Sherion who survives.

     Helen retired from Huffman Oil as manager of the curb market.  She was a homemaker who loved working in her yard and gardening.  

     Helen is survived by her husband, Gene W. Sherion of the home; sisters-in-law, Sue McBride and husband, Sammy of Liberty. Linda Hayworth and husband, Butch of Charlotte, NC and Bonnie Gerner of Gibsonville and a brother-in-law, Billy Sherion of Gibsonville; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Tom Griggs and her son, David Eugene Sherion.

     A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Caleb Hensley.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
