Helen White

Helen Carolene Shue White, 84, of White's Kennel Rd. died on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a three week illness. She was born in Alamance County, daughter of the late Carl Everette Shue, Sr. and Sarah Ola Coble Shue, and was married for 60 years to the late John Olen White. She worked for Lemco Mills for 25 years, was a member of First United Methodist Church of Elon and was also a member of the Methodist Women at the church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Mark Robertson, Machelle and Mike Kimrey, both of Burlington; son, Jon Duane "Buster" White of Burlington; grandchildren, Brandon and Meleaha Kimrey, Heather King, and Samantha White; great grandchild, Connor King; step great grandchild, Nicholas King; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Faye Shue of Clinton, SC, and a special sister-in-law, Jean Bray of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Louise Allen, Lillie Mae Shue, and Ellen Woody, and brothers, Welker Shue and C. E. "Kit" Shue, Jr. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 23, 2005 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. William "Bill" Wolfe. Entombment will follow in the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
