Helen Wrenn

Mrs. Helen Young Wrenn, age 100, formerly of Mitchell St., passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 on her 100th birthday. A native of Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the wife of the late Jasper Wrenn and daughter of the late William Andrew and Lelia Hodnett Young. She retired from J. Spencer Love and was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Wrenn is survived by 3 grandchildren, Kenneth Michael Wrenn and wife Carolyn of Elon, David Allman Wrenn and wife Amy of Burlington and Deborah W. Witte and husband Bob of Scottsdale, AZ; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Nellie Ham of Graham and a special niece, Jo Ann Isley of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Kenneth Wrenn; sisters, Mildred Young, Edna Stanley, Louise Wrenn, Delores Fleming; brothers, Sherman Young, Elmer Young and Sanders Young. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 29, 2011 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Danny Hamm. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Wrenn will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 4-6 pm Sunday.
