Helmut Dietrich

Helmut Heinrich Dietrich, 76, of Whitsett passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. He was born in Oberndorf/N, Germany and was the son of the late Willie and Catarina Dietrich. Helmut moved to the U.S. in 1968, then later moved his family to Burlington in 1971. He was the owner/operator of Dietrich Textile Machinery. He is survived by the love of his life and former wife of 43 years, Elke Dietrich of Burlington; sons, Ralf Sandi Dietrich of Burlington and Jurgen Shana Dietrich of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Lindley, Ayden, Erin and Evan; and a sister, Irmgard Tachtler. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Hildegard Weisschlel. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at 2607 Amherst Court, Burlington following the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd.
