Herbert Lee Roach, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at White Oak Manor. He was born in Alamance County on January 26, 1931 to the late Fred and Pearl Boggs Roach.

 Herbert was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and was a longtime member of Ireland Street Chapel. For many years, he worked as a brick mason and was known for his exceptional skills and dedication to his craft. Herbert possessed a strong work ethic and he took immense pride in every project he undertook. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing at the coast.

 Survivors include his daughter, Donna Hudson; grandson, Taylor Hudson; stepdaughter, Jean Payne Barber and step grandchildren, JoAnna Barber Long, Jennifer Barber Crane and Jonathan Barber. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Arlene Barker Roach; sister Margaret Morris; son-in-law, Tim Hudson and a special friend, Betty McPherson.

 A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park with Mr. Wayne Jones officiating. The body will lie in state from 12:00pm – 5:00pm on Monday, November 11th at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
