Hugh Dollins

Hugh Alexander Dollins, 81, of 506 Maple Ave passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dollins was born February 18, 1928 in Keswick, Virginia to the late Robert Alexander and Burnice Tanner Dollins. He retired from Burlington Industries and later was employed with Winn-Dixie part time. Hugh also served his country in the Army during W.W. II. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Virginia F. Dollins of the home; three children, David Dollins of Burlington, Cathy Dollins Nathan Westbrook of Gibsonville, and Roger Dollins of Burlington; and a sister, Mary Lee Thomas of Alexandria, Va; Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 11:45 -1:45 p.m. prior to the service and other times the family will be at the home.
