Ida Saul

Burlington Mrs. Ida Mae Tunstall Saul, 84, wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2012 after an extended illness. She passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Ida Mae was born in Nash County to the late Ellis Britton Tunstall and the late Hattie Moon Tunstall and was married almost 61 years to Billy Ervin Saul who survives. She retired after 34 years with Burlington Industries and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Ida Mae was a nature and animal lover. Ida Mae leaves behind her devoted husband, Billy Ervin Saul of the home, daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Barry Saunders of Mill Springs, NC, Hattie Ruth and Dennis Sheets of Swepsonville, Bonnie and Don Herring of Graham; son, Michael Ervin Saul of the home; grandchildren, Jeff Crocker, Chris Saul and wife, Courtney, Lindsey Boggs and fianc, Nick Pickens; brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Alice Tunstall of Smithfield, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, A.J. Booth. The funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Garland Simmons and Dr. James Baughn. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the residence. The Saul family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Robert Mead and his staff and the physicians and staff in the Emergency Room and CCU at Alamance Regional Medical Center, for the care and compassion they showed to Ida and the family.
