Jack Carroll Bradley, a beloved community figure and dedicated family man, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on November 4, 1938, Jack was raised on a farm in south Georgia, his unwavering commitment to his family and his exceptional work ethic defined his life and left an indelible impact on all who knew him.
For many years, Jack owned and operated multiple restaurants in North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, and a short time in Cyprus, Greece where his passion for food and service brought joy and satisfaction to countless patrons. His dedication to his craft was matched only by his devotion to his family, which remained his top priority throughout his life. Jack's dedication to work and family was only surpassed by his love for his Lord and Savior, in reading his Bible, and his faith was something he carried with him everyday.
Jack proudly served in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of honor and courage that characterized his character. He carried these values into his business endeavors and family life, serving as a pillar of strength and integrity for those who were fortunate enough to know him. He had always taught his family to take risks with no regrets. Later in life his career lead him into retail, where he retired as a district manager from Wal-Mart.
He is remembered fondly by his children, Greg Bradley (Ginger), Terry Bradley (Linda), and Kelli Smith (Stephen), all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and resilience. His grandchildren, Lindsey Crites (Daniel), Elizabeth Larrea (Luis), Faith Bradley, David Bradley, Amanda Smith, Samantha Smith, and Skyler Smith, will cherish the memories made with their grandfather, as he imparted wisdom and laughter at every opportunity. His great-grandchildren, Ayesha Larrea and Harrison Crites, were a source of joy and pride for Jack, adding another generation to a legacy of love.
Jack is predeceased by his beloved wife, Margie Harden Bradley, who was his lifelong partner and companion. He is also survived by the cherished memories of his father, Carl Fletcher Bradley; mother, Lorine Grooms; and two sisters and one brother, who have also shaped the man he became.
