James Jim Franklin Brodbeck, 60 of 826 Creek Crossing Trail passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following six months of failing health. He was the husband of Lee Anne Hope Brodbeck and the son of the late Robert Vaughn and Frances Cecelia Cubbage Brodbeck. Jim was a native of Philadelphia, PA, a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, retired from Lucent Technology and currently worked for SIGCOM. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and served in the US Marines during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife Lee Anne Hope Brodbeck of the home, daughters; Barbara Ann Brodbeck Large and her husband Brian of Berryville, VA, Michele Brodbeck Neiman and her husband Daryn of Berryville, VA, grandchildren; Christopher Large, Braeden Large, Alexander Large, Bryn Large, Logan Large, Caleb Neiman, sisters and brothers-in-law; Dorothy and Bill Flood, LaRue and Paul Georgeff, Madeline and Craig Eiser, Dolores and Mack Tipton all of PA, Rose Marie Barnes of FL, a brother-in-law Joseph Staehly and a best friend Joe Staehly and his family. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Eleanor Staehly, Betty Smith and a brother Robert Vaughn Brodbeck, Jr. A mass will be held at 12:00 noon Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and then a funeral at 1:30 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of his nephew Joe Staehly 1863 Andrew Farms Rd., Whitsett. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be sent to the family at info@lowefuneralhome.com
