James Simmons

James Edward Simmons, age 69, of Gibsonville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December, 12, 2020, at his home.

James was born in Greensboro to the late James Simmons and the late Catherine Minor Simmons on July 28th, 1951.  He married the woman he would happily spend the rest of his life with, Vicki Simmons, on March 17th, 1973.  James enjoyed providing for his family and making everyone who crossed his path smile.  He will be remembered as a loving man who would do anything for his family.

James is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vicki Hayes Simmons; daughters, Michelle James, Shelby Pike, Scham Simmons, and Margie Simmons; grandchildren, Alyssa Saunders, Tyler James, Nicholas Pike, Bryan Whitfield, Morgan Cohn, and Matti Simmons; a great grandchild, Grayson Saunders; a sister, Linda Hooker; and many nieces and nephews.  James was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mellissa Simmons; a brother, Wayne Simmons; and a grandson, Matthew Pike.

A service to celebrate James life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Marchael Bullard.  The service wiil be live streamed for those who can not attend
