James "Jimmy" Thomas Fox III

James "Jimmy" Thomas Fox III, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on June 17, 2025, at his home. He was born on July 6, 1965, in Haywood County, North Carolina.

In his younger years, Jimmy enjoyed playing golf, roller-skating, cross country, traveling and photography.

Jimmy cherished the times spent by the ocean, where he found peace and joy in nature's embrace. He was a proud father to his triplets, Holly Elizabeth, James Spencer, and Nicholas Thomas Fox. His pride in them was evident, as they were among his greatest accomplishments, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by a brother, Joseph Warren Self. Jimmy's family extends to his loving children, each carrying a piece of their father's spirit forward.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Fox Jr., and his mother, Mary Eloise Stephens Fox, both of whom he held dearly in his heart; brother, Roy Jack Fox.

A gathering to honor Jimmy's life is scheduled for June 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Children's Home in Burlington, NC. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life that Jimmy lived.

Jimmy will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him. Let us remember him for his laughter, his kindness, quick whit and his unwavering dedication to his children.
