James McBane

James Everett McBane, 71, of 3950 NC 87 N. died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Alamance County to the late Allen Reese and Mary Stout McBane and was married to the late Judy Tate McBane. He retired from P. Lorillard Company and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church. James regularly attended the Barn Dance in Julian. He is survived by his son, Benny McBane of the home; sisters, Evelyn M. Braxton of Snow Camp, Treva M. Leonidas Newlin of Snow Camp and Mary Catherine Meyers of Graham; brothers, Scott Linda McBane, Floyd Gean McBane, Charles Martha McBane, Dewey Lydia McBane, all of Snow Camp and John Johnnie McBane of Haw River and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Monday at Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Dave Gilbert and Rev. Matt Smith with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
