James Walker

James Michael "Mike" Walker 60, of 7979 NC 62 South passed away Thursday July 7, 2011. He was the husband of Jennie Walker and was the son of the late James Lawrence and Eva Rudd Walker. Mike was a member of Bethel Christian Church and was active in The Southern Caswell Ruritan Club, the Anderson Volunteer Fire Department, WYNC weather spotter and the Alamance Council for the Blind. Survivors include his wife of the home, sons; John Lawrence Walker and his wife Leigh of Yanceyville, Christopher Lawerance Walker of the home, a daughter Tonia Jones and her husband Jerry of Lebanon, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Linda Butler Walker. The funeral will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Bethel Christian Church by Rev. Barry Lane and Rev. Scott Williams. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times at the home.
