A proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, James contributed to his country with honor before embarking on a distinguished career as an electronics technician. He dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to Lanier Business Products, where his expertise was highly valued and respected.

Throughout his life, he took great joy in building and flying model airplanes, woodworking, and practicing archery—hobbies that reflected his creative and industrious spirit.
A long-time member of CrossWay Church, James was deeply involved in the congregation. He played a vital role in setting up the sound system for the music, made service recordings for shut-ins, and helped maintain the church grounds, showcasing his commitment to his faith and community.
James is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Dorothy Lewis Jordan; their three daughters, Deborah Hensley (Dwight), Stephanie Thurman (Andy), and Kimberly Simpson (Robert, Jr.). His legacy continues through his six grandchildren, Nic Ingle (Shanda), Kelly Ingle, Taylor Hensley, Kelsey Isley (Michael), Katelin Mitchell (Grantt), and Robbie Simpson; along with seven great-grandchildren, Braxton Uhl, Lily Uhl, Dayne Uhl, Claire Ingle, Jackson Ingle, Janie Ingle, and Aubrey Isley.
