Jan Rene Hoyle, 74, of Burlington , passed away on August 24 at Burlington AuthoraCare Collective after a brief illness.Jan was the daughter of the late Betty Jean Hicks and Paul Hoyle.

Jan worked at various jobs over her lifetime but her favorite job was working for the Department of Social Services, Greensboro as a client intake specialist. Her heart for those in need made this the perfect job for her. Jan loved family vacations at the beach where she was lovingly called "Aunt Nut' by her nieces and nephews .

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Betty, and her daughter Amy Jo. She is survived by her sisters Terri Strausbaugh and her husband Bill, and Robin Smith, and her nieces Katie, Lissie, and Laura and nephew Bill.
