Jason Charles Kalbfeld went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025, at his residence, just five days after celebrating his 48th birthday. He was born in New Haven County, CT, on July 9, 1977, and was the devoted husband of eight years to Hannah Rose Goris Kalbfeld of the home.
Jason was a truly wonderful man whose warmth, kindness, and infectious humor touched the lives of all who knew him. As an amazing father, he poured boundless love and wisdom into raising his children, Madeline and Joshua, always guiding them with patience and joy. As an excellent husband, he was Hannah’s unwavering partner, building a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual devotion. A true and loyal friend, Jason’s genuine care and quick wit made him a cherished confidant, always ready with a joke or a heartfelt word to lift spirits. His humor remained a beacon of light, shining brightly even in his final days when words could no longer express his vibrant spirit. Jason’s love for the outdoors was a cornerstone of his life; he found solace and adventure in nature, especially through off-roading, where he embraced the thrill of exploring rugged trails with family and friends. His passion for the outdoors reflected his free spirit and zest for life, leaving lasting memories of shared adventures. Jason’s legacy is one of selflessness, joy, and an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel valued and loved.
He is survived by his wife, Hannah; daughter, Madeline Grace Kalbfeld; son, Joshua William Kalbfeld; father, William Kalbfeld; brother, David Kalbfeld (Nerissa); stepbrothers, Kenny Bays (Brandi), Kevin Bays, and Mike Bays (Emily); niece, Ilianna Kalbfeld; and nephew, Kyler Kalbfeld. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Kalbfeld and paternal grandmother, Martha Skura Kalbfeld.
