Jean Carol Norris Scott

     Mrs. Jean Carol Norris Scott, age 78, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health.

     A native of Alamance County, she was born on December 13, 1944, one of fifteen children, to the late Charlie “C.G.” Gaddis Norris and the late Eunice Faith Montgomery Norris and was married to the late Criag Reynolds Scott, who passed in 2019.  She was a career homemaker and was a member of Hico Baptist Church.  Jean enjoyed shopping and being with her family.

     Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, Wayne Martin and wife, Janet; two grandchildren, Jan (Timmy) Rogers, Tylor Martin; a great grandson, Preston (Lexi) Willetts; a great great grandson, Jaxton Willetts; five brothers, Coy (Renata) Norris, Larry (Linda) Norris, Carl (Jan) Norris, Danny (Cindy) Norris and Tony (Mary Jean) Norris; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters, Annie Surles, Patsy Mitchell and Emma Overman; and six brothers, Wayne, Fred, Kenneth, Earl, Jerry and C.G “Shorty” Norris, Jr.

     A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. David Mros.  The family will visit with family and friends following the service.
