Jean Somers Webster, 70, of 709 Wagoner Rd. passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Webster was born June 17, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Joseph William and Lessie Elizabeth Murray Somers. Jean retired from AT&T after 39 years of service and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Burlington 1st Ward. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Howard Webster of the home; three sons, Don C. Webster and his wife Kim of Phoenix, AR., Neil A. Webster and his wife Debra of Issaquah, WA., and Tim A. Webster and his wife Michele of Burlington; five grandchildren, Chis Webster, Clay Webster, Sr., Jacob Webster-Hulbert, Orion Webster, Azrael Webster; two great grandchildren, Clay Webster, Jr. and Tessa Webster; two brothers, H. G. Summers and Bernice Lee Summers. Mrs. Webster was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and three brothers. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Bishop Michael Doyle. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home.
