Jeanette Irby Beaudet, 82, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Person County and was the daughter of the late Cabell Richard Irby, Sr. and Ruth Briggs Irby. She was married for 46 years to Fred Beaudet, who survives.
She was the longtime owner and operator of NeaNea’s Daycare and touched the lives of countless children and families for over fifty years with her kindness, patience, and loving care. Jeanette had a deep love for traveling and going on cruises especially aboard the Carnival Cruise Line and the Mayberry cruises. Over the course of 46 years, she went on 106 cruises making countless cherished memories and lifelong friends while traveling with her beloved husband, family and dear friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Fred; daughters, Crystal Tierney (John), Michelle Stewart (John), Becky Tate (John); grandchildren, Jonathan Tate (Charlotte), Mikayla Grady (Kendall), Maggie Brewer (Robert), Lauren Tierney and Luke Tierney; great grandchildren, Beau, Macon and Fisher Brewer and Everett Grady; sisters, Janie I. Nelson, Frances I. Taylor (Buck), Peggy I. Talley, Wanda I. Riley; brothers, Jimmy Irby (Debbie), Jackie Irby (Sarah), Barry Irby and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Patricia I. Talley, Mary Ellen I. Bush, and Vickie Irby, and brothers, C.R. Irby, Jr., Ricky Irby and Garry Irby.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ed Gunter with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Angie Bowlin and Jackie Sheffield for taking such good care of Jeanette.
