Jimmie Baize, Sr.

Jimmie Harrison Baize, Sr., 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his home after a year of declining health.  He was born on November 3, 1944 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the late Olga Marvin Baize and Lillian Estelle Rippy Baize.

Jimmie was a retired farmer and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jimmie Baize, Jr., Mark Baize and wife Tiffany, Amanda Mitchell and husband Johnny, and Mary Ellen Baize; grandchildren, Jimmie Baize III, Jennifer Baize, Sarah “Sam” Eastwood, Nicolas Baize, Daisy Baize, Mark Wayne Baize, Jr., John Henry Baize, Kelly Robison, Chandler Mitchell, Glen Buddington III, Lydia Goodson, Alexander Parker; great grandchildren, Gabriella Santoya-Garcia and Giovanni Santoya-Garcia; sisters, Faye Shoe and Priscilla Crumpton; brother, Charles “Eddie” Baize, several nieces and nephews.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; two granddaughters, Summer Angel Baize and Mia “M.J.” Baize; a brother, Jackie Baize, and a sister, Shirley “Bug” Wheeley.

The graveside service will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Baize Family Cemetery with military honors.  The family will receive friends following the service.  Jimmie will be available for viewing from 8:00am to 1:15pm Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory prior to the service.  The family will be at Mark’s residence at other times.
