Mr. Jimmy H. Teague, 83, of Elon passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at his home.

Jimmy was born on August 11, 1942 in Caswell County to Henry Monroe Teague and Pearl Bailey Teague. He was a carpenter by trade and also worked for over 20 years for GKN. A longtime member of Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church, he served as a deacon and maintained the church yard as well.

Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Nancy Teague; and a sister, Carolyn Burr. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Darrell W. Teague, and his sister Frances Apple.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3 PM at Kerr’s Chapel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:45 – 2:45 PM prior. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.  Everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for refreshments following the burial.
