Joey Porter

Burlington, NC Joseph Joey Patrick Porter, age 26, of 527 Meadowood Drive died on Wednesday, April 19, 2006. He was a member of North Graham Baptist Church and an avid fan of Tarheel Basketball. He also enjoyed playing golf in his leisure time. Joey was survived by his mother and step father, Suzie and Jeff Stearns of Burlington; father and step mother, James Leon and Ellen Porter of Burlington; sister and brother-in-law, Sondra Porter Komada and her husband, Mike of Chapel Hill; step sisters, Suzanne Stearns of Raleigh and Stacey Stearns of Chesapeake, Virginia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 21, 2006 at Holly Hill Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church. A private service will be held later. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holly Hill Baptist Church, 2818 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
