John Beasley

John Brasdell Beasley, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 peacefully at his home.  A native of Randolph County, he was the son of the late Alfred Brinkley and Ollie Mae Fentress Beasley and was married to the late Carolyn Anne Beasley who passed in 2015.

John attended school at the Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg, FL and then went on to High Point College.  After graduating he worked in the textile industry for over 48 years.  He enjoyed his work and loved all of his fellow employees. After retiring he started volunteering at the hospital as a courtesy driver.  Every day of John’s life had a purpose.

He is survived by his son, Eric Beasley and his wife Tina; daughter-in-law, Karen Beasley; grandson, Justin Beasley and wife, Olivia; brother, Joe Beasley and wife, Ann.  He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, John Beasley; and sister, Nancy Beasley Campbell.

The family will have a private graveside service to celebrate John’s life at a later date.
