John Wallace Compton

 Wallace was born June 25, 1936 in Caswell County to John Lemuel and Elia Mae Dunevant Compton. He was the husband of 60 years to the late Annie Fuquay Compton; He is survived by his sister, Betty Sue Edwards and long-time pet, “Snoopy” and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

 Wallace graduated from Anderson High School. He was a tobacco farmer all his life and an avid car show participant. Wallace was a dedicated NASCAR fan and had a great love of music. He was a member of Baynes Baptist Church.

 Wallace was predeceased by his wife, parents and four brothers; Raph, Hurley, Zellie and Walter Compton and two sisters, Frances Dameron and Dessie Mae Compton

 A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Pastor Caleb Hensley, 101 Cherry Grove Road in Yanceyville, NC. The family will receive friends in the church from 2:00-2:45pm on Sunday prior to the graveside service. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of the arrangements.
