John Harvey Hillary

John Harvey Hillary, 94, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at his residence.  He was born in Seattle, WA and was married to Donna Jean Hillary for 24 years.

John was a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was a member of St. Marks Church and the Christian Workers Class.  John enjoyed wood working, loved history and was an avid reader.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; faithful canine companion, Lulu; children, Mark Peter Hillary, Ruth Miller, William Vaclavik; granddaughter, Brandy Jones and her husband, Charles; great granddaughter, Airabella and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ann Johnstone.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Community Church @ Church Giving Burlington NC - St. Mark's Community Church (smc.church).

The family is planning to have a memorial service at a later date.
